Check the vehicle before driving
(1) Before the forklift is operated, check the appearance and add fuel, lubricating oil and cooling water.
(2) Check the starting, running and braking performance; check whether the light and sound signals are complete and effective.
(3) After the forklift is in operation, check the oil and water leakage.
(4) Check whether the pressure and temperature are normal during the operation of the forklift.
(5) Fill in the daily inspection record form of the forklift.

Start right
(1) Before starting, observe the surroundings and confirm that there are no obstacles hindering the safety of driving, then start off after honking the whistle.
(2) When the forklift starts with loading, the driver should first confirm that the loaded cargo is stable and reliable.
(3) When starting, you must lightly step on the accelerator and start slowly and steadily.

Stable driving
(1) When driving, the height from the bottom of the fork to the ground should be kept 300-400mm, and the mast should be tilted backward.
(2) Do not raise the fork too high while driving. When entering and leaving the job site or driving, pay attention to the obstacles that are scratched in the sky. When the load is traveling, if the fork lifts too high, it will increase the overall weight of the forklift and affect the stability of the forklift.
(3) After unloading, lower the fork to the normal driving position before driving.
(4) When turning, if there are pedestrians or vehicles nearby, signal should be given and high-speed sharp turns should be prohibited. High-speed sharp turns will cause the vehicle to lose lateral stability and tip over.
(5) When the forklift truck is going downhill, it should drive backwards to prevent the goods from falling over.
(6) Forklift trucks must abide by the traffic rules in the factory during operation, and must keep a certain safe distance from the vehicles in front of them. For non-special circumstances, it is forbidden to brake suddenly while driving with a load.
(7) When the load is traveling up and down, the brake shall not be used except under special circumstances.
(8) For non-special circumstances, it is forbidden to brake suddenly while driving with a load.
(9) The steering of the forklift is controlled by the rear wheels, so it is necessary to always pay attention to the swing behind the truck to avoid the sharp turns that often occur when beginners drive.
(10) When turning on the ramp, the internal combustion forklift should not drive across the ramp.
(11) It is forbidden to turn on the ramp, nor to drive across the ramp.
(12) When the forklift is running, the load must be at the lowest position that does not hinder the driving, and the mast must be tilted back properly, and the load must not be increased when stacking or loading the truck. When transporting large objects, the object blocks the driver's sight, and you should go to the forklift at this time.
(13) Forklifts must sound their horns when entering and leaving the workshop, turning, reversing, and crossing intersections to prevent accidents.

Safe loading and unloading
(1) When picking up goods with a fork, the fork should be as deep as possible under the load, and the tip of the fork should not touch other goods or objects. The minimum mast tilt should be used to stabilize the load to prevent the load from sliding backwards. When lowering the load, the mast can be tilted forward a small amount to facilitate the placement of the load and the extraction of the fork.
(2) The height of the load must not obstruct the driver's sight.
(3) In the process of loading and unloading items, brakes must be used to brake the forklift.
(4) When the fork is approaching or evacuating objects, the speed should be slow and steady. Be careful not to crush objects, wooden mats, etc. on wheels, so as to prevent the objects from flying and hurting people.
(5) When fork loading items, the distance between the two forks should be adjusted as needed to balance the load of the two forks and not be skewed. One side of the item should be close to the retaining shelf, and the weight of the fork load should meet the requirements of the load center curve sign.
(6) It is forbidden to pick up goods at high speed and collide with hard objects with the fork.
(7) When the forklift is operating, it is forbidden to drive with people.
(8) For forklift operations, personnel are forbidden to stand around the forks to prevent the goods from collapsing and hurting people.
(9) It is forbidden to lift personnel with forks to engage in high-altitude operations to avoid accidents of falling from heights.
(10) It is forbidden to use the brake to inertially drop objects.
(11) During forklift operation, personnel are forbidden to stand on the forks.

End of work and leave work
(1) The forklift needs to be wiped clean to keep the appearance clean and oil-free.
(2) After using the forklift, the front end of the fork of the forklift must be attached to the ground to avoid injury to people.
(3) After parking, the handbrake needs to be tightened to prevent the car from slipping.

The Basics of Forklift Tire Maintenance The Basics of Forklift Tire Maintenance
Mar .01.2024
The tire is the only connection point between the forklift and the road. It not only bears the entire weight of the forklift and the weight of the cargo, but also responds to driving actions such as steering, acceleration and braking, and absorbs the impact of the road on the vehicle. Especially in winter when the ground is slippery, tires are crucial to driving safety and cannot be ignored!
