Diesel forklifts will have a lot of problems when they are in use, so they need to pay attention to maintenance for a long time. For example, the maintenance of the engine is especially important. Let’s learn about the precautions and maintenance of the diesel forklift engine.
Precautions for engine use
1. After a new engine or overhaul, the diesel engine cannot be operated at full load and high speed from the beginning. It must be run in at low speed and light load for 50 hours before it can be transferred to normal operation.
2. Ensure that the fuel is clean. If necessary, filter through sedimentation or silk cloth.
3. Maintain normal water temperature (70~85℃) and oil pressure (0.2~0.4MPa at medium speed).
Daily maintenance
1. Check whether the oil level in the oil pan is between the two engraved lines on the oil gauge, and is close to the upper engraved line. For a new engine or a diesel engine that has been out of service for a long time, after filling the engine oil to the upper mark, stop at low speed for 5-10 minutes, and then measure the oil level with the oil dipstick.
2. Check the water volume of the water tank.
3. Check the oil level in the fuel injection pump. If it is insufficient, it should be replenished to the specified position.
4. Eliminate the phenomenon of three leakages (oil, water, gas).
The maintenance of diesel forklift engines is very important, so we must pay attention to it.
