What is the Correct Behavior When Operating a New Forklift?

Can a newly purchased forklift work directly? Will a newly purchased forklift have a break-in period? What should we pay attention to? HITOP forklift tells you: the newly purchased forklift cannot be directly put into working state, and some safety inspections must be carried out. These inspections are not because of the distrust of the forklift manufacturer, but because the new forklift is in the process of storage and transportation. Loosening and damage may occur.

Therefore, before the new forklift is operated, it needs to carry out internal and external cleaning and inspection of some items:

1. Check whether the pipelines and joints of various parts of the new forklift are damaged, loose and leaking water or oil. In particular, whether there is leakage in the master cylinder and wheel cylinder of the hydraulic system and service brakes.

2. Check whether the joints, lines, lighting, etc. of the electrical components of the new forklift are in good condition and connected. Whether the electrical instruments, horns and lights can work normally, whether the liquid level of the electrolyte of the battery meets the requirements; whether the relative density of the electrolyte meets the requirements.

3. Check the fastening of the mechanical coupling parts of the new forklift, especially whether the coupling bolts and locking devices of the steering system, wheels and tires, and lifting mechanism are fastened and correct.

4. Check the lubrication condition of the new forklift, engine or DC motor, and lubricate the lubrication points of the forklift, and add enough oil, gear oil and grease.

5. Check whether the tire pressure of the new forklift meets the specified requirements, and whether the on-board tools and accessories are complete. In the initial stage of use of the new forklift, because the rough surface of the parts has not been fully ground, there is still a certain deviation in the shape and assembly position after processing, and there will be a gap between the fitting clearance and the lubrication conditions, and the wear will be larger. Relatively speaking, the working temperature slightly higher.

After these inspections are completed, if there is no problem, the new forklift can be put into operation with confidence.
