You’ve invested in a forklift to keep your business running. These machines provide valuable support in industries like construction, storage and retail. But if you’re ignoring regular maintenance, then you’re not getting everything you can out of this investment.
How often you have the forklift maintained is directly correlated to the machine’s lifespan and efficacy.
The first maintenance: After the new forklift truck works for 50 hours, the oil, machine filter, diesel filter and air filter need to be replaced. You need 2 barrels of oil and one for each of the three filters.
The second maintenance: After the forklift works for 300 hours, in addition to changing the oil and three filters, it is also necessary to replace the front axle gear oil. You need 2 barrels of oil, one of each of the three filters, and 2 barrels of gear oil.
The third maintenance: After the forklift works for 500 hours, in addition to changing the oil and three filters, it is also necessary to replace the hydraulic oil. Requires 2 barrels of oil, one for each of the three filters, and 25L of hydraulic oil.
After three compulsory maintenance, it is recommended to replace the oil and three filters every 250 hours of operation for the forklift, and carry out a routine maintenance. After the forklift has worked for about 6 months, the clutch plate can be replaced.
