HITOP Diesel Forklift Warranty Guide: Coverage, Service Requirements and Customer Responsibilities

Update time : 2026-10-28 14:16:09

A diesel forklift is expected to work hard, often across long shifts and demanding sites. Warranty coverage is designed to support customers when a covered part has a material, manufacturing, or assembly defect under normal use. It also depends on the truck being operated and serviced as required.

This guide explains the standard HITOP diesel forklift warranty framework in a clearer format. It outlines the main coverage periods, the parts commonly included at each level, the service responsibilities of the owner, and the situations that may fall outside warranty support.

This notice applies to HITOP diesel forklifts only. It does not apply to electric forklift models. If a purchase contract, product manual, or written warranty document for a specific truck states different terms, that document takes priority.

1. Standard Warranty Period

The standard warranty period for a HITOP diesel forklift is:

  • 12 months from delivery to the first end user, or
  • 2,000 operating hours,

whichever occurs first.

Different components have different coverage periods because they work under different loads and wear conditions. The periods below are also measured by the earlier of the stated calendar period or operating hours.

2. Component Coverage by Time or Operating Hours

24 Months or 4,000 Hours

The following major structural components are covered for 24 months or 4,000 operating hours:

3. What Customers Need to Do

Warranty support is linked to normal operation and scheduled care. To help protect the truck and maintain eligibility for covered repairs, customers should:

1. Follow the operating instructions in the HITOP diesel forklift manual.
2. Complete daily inspections before use.
3. Carry out scheduled maintenance at the required service intervals.
4. Use the specified lubricants, hydraulic fluids, filters, and service materials where required.
5. Keep basic service and maintenance records.
6. Report a suspected defect promptly through the relevant HITOP sales or service contact.

Routine service matters. A missed inspection, unsuitable fluid, or continued operation after an obvious fault can lead to damage that is not related to a manufacturing defect.

4. How Warranty Repairs Are Assessed

During the applicable warranty period, HITOP may repair or replace a covered part when an authorized assessment confirms that the failure was caused by a material, manufacturing, or assembly defect under normal use.

Replacement of a complete assembly is not automatic. It is generally considered only when the assembly is severely damaged and an authorized HITOP service representative determines that repair is not practical or no longer has repair value.

For a warranty review, customers may be asked to provide:

Forklift model and serial number
Delivery date and current operating hours
Photos or video of the reported issue
Maintenance and inspection records
Details of the operating conditions and the sequence of the fault

Providing clear information at the start helps the service team identify the issue more efficiently.

5. Situations That May Not Be Covered

Warranty coverage does not extend to every form of damage or loss. Support may be limited or unavailable when a problem results from factors outside the forklift itself, including:

Incorrect operation or use beyond the intended working conditions
Failure to perform daily or scheduled maintenance
Use of unsuitable fuel, lubricants, hydraulic oil, filters, or replacement parts
Unauthorized modification, repair, or adjustment
Damage caused by collision, fire, flooding, natural events, or other external incidents
Continued operation after a fault warning or visible defect
Normal wear items or wear caused by operating conditions

The warranty is intended to address eligible defects in the HITOP diesel forklift and covered components. It does not cover indirect or consequential loss outside the forklift itself, such as downtime, lost production, cargo damage, labor disruption, or other related expenses, unless otherwise required by a written agreement or applicable law.

6. Before You Submit a Warranty Request

Before contacting HITOP support, first check the operator's manual and confirm that the truck has received the required maintenance. Then prepare the truck information, operating hours, and clear evidence of the issue.

Avoid dismantling the affected part or carrying out non-authorized repairs before the condition has been assessed, unless immediate action is necessary to protect people or prevent further damage. Unauthorized work can make the original cause harder to verify.
