When do electric forklifts need to add distilled water?
To observe the battery refill cycle, first observe the distance between the liquid level and the position of the standard graduation line.
1. Open the small surface cover of the battery. If the interior has dried up, or the water volume is lower than the warning line, it indicates that distilled water has been added.
2. Please add distilled water, do not add mineral water or tap water. This is because it contains a variety of minerals, which can cause short circuit of the plates and cause fatal damage to the battery.
3. The normal water filling cycle is about once a month in winter, but in summer when the weather is hot, check it frequently to prevent the drop of the liquid level due to evaporation.
4. If the weather is not hot, but the liquid level eventually drops too fast, you need to check whether the regulator limit voltage is adjusted too high. To prevent overcharging caused by excessively high temperature, and large loss of distilled water due to excessively high temperature. Lowering the limit voltage will solve the problem.
5. If a single battery pack drops quickly, it is caused by a short circuit, and the temperature of the single battery is much higher than other normal battery cells. In addition, if there is a crack in the battery tank causing the electrolyte to leak, this phenomenon will also occur. The judgment method is to add water to the battery to the standard scale, stand still for an hour, and observe again. If the electrolyte level is found to drop, it is a single battery. Cracks in the body shell.
How to add distilled water to an electric forklift?
Prepare a small funnel-shaped container and a water cup, open the filling cap, fill in distilled water slowly, and record the approximate amount filled. The filling volume of other battery cells should also be similar, not too different. If you find that the filling volume of individual batteries is too large, you need to focus on checking whether there is a fault. The principle of hydrating is to take less and not more. If it is not enough, it can be added. If it is too much, the specific gravity of the acid will decrease, and the battery capacity will be insufficient. If the forklift produces bumps during work, the electrolyte will flow out from the filling port.
How often do you add distilled water to an electric forklift?
If an electric forklift has to be used for 5-6 hours a day, distilled water is usually added once a week in summer and two to three weeks in winter.
Electric forklift batteries belong to the traction belt type of open mouth type. Distilled water must be added frequently in the middle and late stages. Once careless, the forklift battery will short-circuit due to lack of distilled water and cannot be used. If you don't fill it up immediately, it may reduce the battery life. You should fill up with distilled water or double distilled water immediately. Don't use edible mineral water and pure water instead.
In fact, ordinary distilled water is fine for electric forklifts. However, it is recommended to use distilled water several times. When adding distilled water, it is recommended to add it just after charging, and make sure that it cannot be too much. The distilled water heats up and shrinks. If you add too much, it will overflow when you recharge the battery.

The water discharge of the electric forklift battery is based on the accuracy line of the battery water level. It is not on time, and the less water is added. Pure water is not good, at least it should be mineral water, preferably distilled water.
If the battery has less water, then add it. Different batteries are different. If it is a maintenance-free rechargeable battery with very good sealing, it does not need to be added until the service life.

The tire is the only connection point between the forklift and the road. It not only bears the entire weight of the forklift and the weight of the cargo, but also responds to driving actions such as steering, acceleration and braking, and absorbs the impact of the road on the vehicle. Especially in winter when the ground is slippery, tires are crucial to driving safety and cannot be ignored!
